Praem are motorcycle manufacturers were born in 2014: their aim is to recover motorcycles with an important past and make it unique!
This is their latest creation called SP3, because it is derived from the popular Honda VTR 1000 SP2 RC51; Remember the 2000 SBK championship won by Colin Edwards?
Well, the Honda ran SBK precisely with this motorcycle!
The Praem guys thought all the Honda project, improving the weak points such as the chassis, mounting the fine Ohlins suspension, the powerful Brembo brakes with carbon-ceramic discs, ultra-light carbon wheels and removing the overheating problems created by the tank mounted on the cylinder.
Following their philosophy, they haven’t made any changes to the Honda engine but is only limited to change the exhaust system with an Akrapovic silencer Werker USA.
The goal we have set ourselves was to create a motorcycle that was in the middle of a race bike and a touring bike like in the automobile industry is the Aston Martin DB9…
The 2mm stainless steel wired fairings are inspired by the sculptures of the Brooklyn based Korean artist Seung Mo Park; by varying the density of the wires, fresh air can go through in the ram air at the front, and hot air can be extracted from the lateral cooling system.
Unlike its RC51 SP2 ancestor, the cutout in the SP3 tank prevents the rear cylinder from overheating.
The prestigious chronograph brand Tag Heuer has therefore accepted to join Praem and to integrate a Monaco Calibre 11 on the SP3 tank.
They have deliberately chosen to integrate the complete watch (with strap) in its support to keep it wearable when the pilot is not on the machine.
